  | SUMMARY: This bill revises the scope of practice for dentists, dental hygienists, and dental assistants, including establishing conditions under which licensed dentists can practice oral and maxillofacial surgery. It allows a candidate for a dentist’s license to substitute a year of post-graduate training for the practical portion of the licensing exam and provides a way for foreign-trained dentists to become licensed as dentists or dental hygienists. And it creates continuing education requirements for dentists.
